I'm Marlee, the chef behind Marlee's Fresco. My connection to food began early-- shaped by a quirky obsession with cooking shows.  This curiosity led me into the kitchen at a young age.  I still remember the first meal I cooked for my family in sixth grade.  I made breakfast pizzas for dinner (crust from scratch)!

That early interest grew into something more over time. After moving to San Diego, I began cooking for small gatherings, including my first catering experience for a rehearsal dinner in 2012. Years later, that path led me to open a café—an experience that deepened my understanding of both food and hospitality.

My cooking today is rooted in that journey. It’s thoughtful, from-scratch, and shaped by the places I’ve lived—Southern California, and now the Connecticut shoreline—blending seasonal ingredients with subtle Mediterranean influence. The result is food that feels elevated, yet effortless, and  leaves you feeling good.
